Symphony, the annual cultural fest of Janki Devi Memorial College will be celebrated on 5th and 6th February, 2016. The theme, this time, is “Celebrating equality and diversity”.
There will be a curtain raising event -Munaadi, the street play competition on 4th February, 2016.
Various other competitions will be held, simultaneously, on the first and second day of the fest. Let’s Dance- The solo dance competition, Jabberwocky- The turncoat debate, Doodle-o-math, Jingle writing, Face Painting and Photography competition are some of the events that will be held on the first day of the fest. The main attraction of the day one will be Footloose- The western group dance competition. First time ever in the history of Janki Devi Memorial College, there will be a Graffiti making competition on the day one in the college ground. On the second day, you’ll find more intriguing competitions like Bardoratory- Soliloquiesin Shakespearean plays, Euphonie- The western music competition, Quiz and Mathematical Pic Charades which will pique your interest. The competitions will provide a platform to the students to exhibit their talent, showcase their passion and win exciting cash prizes.
The fest will end on a note of exhilaration with a rock show by Indeep Bakshi.
The students’ union has worked tremendously hard to put every brick of this event together. The preparations began in December to make Symphony’16 greater and grander. This year, the students’ union conducted a flash mob in order to promote Symphony, which turned out to be a huge success as it got marvelous response.
Symphony’16 is also going to have lots of stalls selling handicrafts. There will be food stalls filled with different delicacies and game stalls to entertain you the whole day.
So we have given you enough reasons to visit Symphony’16. And surely, Symphony’16 is going to be bigger and better.
