Keeping this in mind, the amalgamation of technology, innovations and enjoying while ideating, all under one roof resulted in the evolution of a new type of extravaganza known as Technical Fests. A celebration of science and technology Innovision, is the annual technical-managerial fest of Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology.
Here are the 6 reasons why you cannot miss Innovision:
- The Theme and the Mascot
The theme for Innovision ‘16 is ‘Back to the Future’ with their mascot being ‘Zero’. The theme focuses on celebration of time as the eras that have gone by and are yet to come. Imagine the potential this theme holds in the economic, robotics and programming sector!
Zero, a time traveller, his outfit being that of a space traveller and a caveman will be escorting you through this three-day expedition. Don’t be surprised if you see Cleopatra ditching her famous costume and opting for a space suit instead! Or the cave men wearing their animal suits, performing stunts for the bike show: ‘Road Rage’. Sounds interesting, eh?
- Felicity: The Music Night and Laser Show
Let’s admit it, a DJ night is always a crowd puller. Felicity is one of the headliner events of this fest. Having featured artists like Nucleya in the previous editions, this year DJ Zaeden (best known for his remixes: Magic by Coldplay and Animals by Maroon 5) and Lost Stories (known for their remix of Afro Jack and their single “How you like me now”), are all set to enthral the crowd with their music.
Exhilarating. Exuberant. Elating. Words fail to describe this event. A Laser Show is will be held in confluence with Felicity to dazzle the students and to set the mood lighter. This one’s the event that you’ll regret not attending it.
- The Bike Show and Defence Expo
Does the roar of the engines, the skidding of the tyres and the full throttle of the bikes give you an adrenaline rush? If yes, then this event is a must watch for you! This is one of the most anticipated events of Innovision, where some brave-hearts perform some jaw dropping stunts and zoom their way into your hearts with their Harley Davidsons and Hondas.
Defence Expo, done in collaboration with various government bodies, is a state-of-art exhibition of artillery and machines used by Indian Army. This event is the perfect place for a thrilling experience to appreciate and be proud of our Army. Besides, who wouldn’t love to get a click with the majestic tanks and missiles!
- JT Kostman and Ankush Singla
‘Panel Discussion’, this year the theme being ‘The Indian Political Scenario’, is hoped to be a highly cognitive, stimulating session with the political heavyweights like Nupur Sharma, gracing the event.
The ‘Tech Talk’ is an engrossing interactive session on the theme ‘Data Analytics’, with some of the biggest honchos in the techno-biz world like, Ankush Singhla (co-founder Coding Blocks) and Vijay Sethi (CIO Hero MotoCorp Ltd.) to name some.
- Robotica and Coding Competitions
Various events have been lined up for this section like the Line Follower and Robo Maze where participants build and program their own robots. An array of coding competitions is being organised. Participate and test your coding skills!
- Cash Prizes and Goodies
Well this will definitely get your attention. Cash prizes and goodies worth thousands are at stake. If you are not a technocrat, there are plenty of events such as Scavengers’ Hunt or The Bellagio to participate in. Hurry offer till stocks lasts!
