With 2014 starting off amazingly, Jesus and Mary College brings you the department fest of Political Science, Politologue! This year the fun was magnified a thousand times over. With many events that left everyone with wide smiles on their face! If you were there last year, then you just know that this year it had to be bigger and better than ever.
This year it was a closed event, exclusively for the Political Science Department. The whole event was an enjoyable affair, with students of all years coming together to make it a bona fide success. The event included a poster making competition, which took place a day prior to the main event. The main function kicked off with a quiz competition that was open to all departments and was followed everyone heading off for refreshments, which was then succeeded by a cultural programme. The cultural programme included singing and dancing by students of all years. At one point, people from the audience were brought up to the stage to dance.
This was specially a new experience for the first years, since it was their first fest. Shivani Tokas, a first year student, who also performed said, “The fest was really nice, it gave us an opportunity to interact with our seniors and know them better. It was huge fun. We were excited and a bit nervous as well for our dance as it was our first performance in the college.”
With many people taking to the stage and performing outstandingly, the event was jam-packed with fun and entertainment in all ways possible. The seniors came out and supported the first years for their performance and helped them in any way they could. All in all, the occasion couldn’t help itself from being a total delight. Wait for next year everyone. The joyride is bound to be tenfold!
