‘Delhi hai diliwallo Ki’, so familiar with this old saying, but ever thought that Delhi will be a lover’s paradise? I don’t think so.

Couples were commonly used to be seen in parks, malls, gardens, medieval monuments, and in the cinema halls to spend some “precious and intimate moments” with their partners. But, one of the most common places for lovers is the Delhi metro—a life line for Delhities and a place to have some private moments!

Metro introduced in 2002, but had the government known that it would do more than to bridge physical distances. Delhi metro has now become one of India’s capital’s dating hot spots. Just step in the city’s metro and we will see an amount of ways of expressing love to our partners, starting from holding hand in hand to cuddling on staircases and sometimes having beauty spot marks on the check. Many CCTV footages and images are leaked having couples getting intimate.

But, what is there that attracts infatuated couples? It is a convenient and an easy to access rendezvous point. The free air- conditioner provides a lot of relief from the scorching heat and then the cafes and restos in the metro are just an added advantage. And the most importantly, it avoids a higher risk of unwanted parental intrusion.

Couples are seen getting rooms on the metro station so that they can have some private moments with their partners and it costs only Rs. 200 to 300 for about 15 to 20 minutes. Finding your love on metro became more convenient and easier when a management student launched MetroMates. He made this website with the ideology of connecting metro travelers. Who knows – you may even have some luck and find more than just a friend. It has more than 8,000 registered users.

This message is for the gorgeous that boarded Metro from Saket on 3rd June around 5.30pm & left at Rajiv chowk station and was wearing black jeans & white Levis tee. U are just too sexy. I am the guy standing beside u. Is there any chance of a new friend?  If you too feel the same, please write to me.” – This is an example of a message that could be seen easily on networking sites.

Believe it or not, but metro is an amazing hotspot for couples!
