Every year more than 2.5 lakh outstation students apply for admissions in Delhi University. To find a safe and secure accommodation with good facilities is no less than a headache. In that case, Delhi University hostels are the best choice for foreign, outstation students. However, the number of seats in every hostel is very less as compared to the total number of applicants every year and allotment is strictly based on merits.
There are eight hostels for girls, five for both girls and boys, and only one for boys in different colleges. Besides, there is an only girls’ University hostel as well in North Campus.
University hostel has 344 seats for bonafide undergraduates only.
Allotment of the hostel seats is also based on merit with reservations for SC/ST, OBC, physically disabled, war widows, sports, and foreign students etc.
The hostel registration details for 2015 are yet to be out.
