Parivartan, the Social Service Society of Sri Venkateswara College organised it’s NGO mela on Tuesday, 18th February, 2014.

 British Delegates were the Chief Guest for the same. NGO’s like, Naya Savera, Blood Connect, Yuvti, Action India, Diksha, Aarohan, Cansupport, Plant Guardian, The Gramin Foundation, Safe City, The Education Tree and Save the Children were a part of this fest and had pit up their stalls.

 The fest began with a wonderful performance on ‘Vande Mataram’ by small children. Competitons like Face Painting, Pictionary, Photography, and Treasure Hunt were organised.

 The other attractions of the fest were, Street play, Guppa Mania, Puppet Show, Kal Beliyan Dance, Mehendi designing, Jewellery Display, Photo exhibition, hair braiding and Tarot Card reading.

 All the students who participated in the fest enjoyed a lot. “I am a part of Parivartan and this is my first year in this college. Working for the fest was a great experience. I enjoyed a lot.”, says, Bhavuk Dhamija, a first year Biochemistry student.

 “Parivartan is doing a great job. The fest was amazing. Social service is a good and noble job.”, adds Mayank, a B.Com student.

 Overall, the NGO mela, Jagriti’14, organised by Parivartan-The social service society of Sri Venkateswara College was a great success.
