Bhim Rao Ambedkar College (BRAC), a co-educational college of University of Delhi was established by Govt. of the NCT of Delhi in 1991, the centenary celebration year of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The college is housed in a lush green campus situated on Wazirabad Road near Yamuna Vihar in North East Delhi. The foundation stone of the present college building was laid by His Excellency Sh. K.R. Narayanan, the then Vice-President of India on 30th April, 1994. With a student strength of about 2064 (girl students in majority), the college runs a number of professional and honours courses viz. Honours in Commerce, Geography, Hindi Patrakarita evam Jansanchar, Business Economics, Social Work and Applied Psychology.
