Delhi University Examination Results

Written by Mansha Dhingra

Dangerous than the tedious exams is the long exhausting wait for Delhi University to announce the results . Yes ! results are the worst nightmare for any Delhi University student but this time as a matter of great astonishment the results were out within twelve days .

The University of Delhi declared the results of thirty nine courses out of the total forty four courses of the fourth semester of the Under Graduate Programme on  June 12, 2015 .The result pertains to nearly forty three thousand pupils .It involves the assessment of one lakh seventy two thousand scripts . The last exam of the University was held on May 30, 2015.This was the first time the university had declared the result in such a short time.  The results of five courses including English , Economics , History and two other were not declared .

As usual the children were anxious and nervous just like before any result . Children who had burnt the mid night oil for obvious reasons came out with flying colours. Where as, children who did not study well or took the examinations lightly did not score well and were disheartened. Courses like Zoology , Statistics , Physics and Mathematics which are known to be more scoring , the percent even went upto ninety five to ninety six . Where as in the Arts stream the courses like Psychology , Political Science and Geography which are not that numerical based and focus more on theory the percent went about seventy five to eighty percent .

On the whole the university students were pleased with the results . A student of Hindu College from B.Com honors said “ The checking was easy as all my classmates managed to score well ” . Similarly ,  a girl from Maitreyi College , Zoology honors said “ I am glad ,the way university has evaluated the result for all my peers were able to score better than the last time ”.

Thus to conclude I would say ,  every bad result teaches us something or the other , so one should learn to improve and get better . Good results only require quality time and effort . If the focus is entirely on results one can never improve , but if the focus is on improvement one will definitely get excellent results .
