With lots of controversies over past few weeks for scraping off entrance mechanism for admission in University’s only professional management course “Bachelor of Management Studies” (BMS), the admission committee has finally come up with complete new structure to select students for upcoming session.
The new selection procedure will give equal weightage (50% for each) to entrance test and scores secured by an applicant in his/her 12th board exams. Let us say, one has secured 95% in boards (cumulative score of all five subjects will be taken) plus 210/300 (70%) in the entrance, then cumulative percentage will be worked out as under: (50% of 95 + 50% 0f 70%) = 82.5%.
BMS as a course aims at developing future managers and is available in the following colleges of Delhi University with total enrollment capacity of 840 students. The course curriculum is prepared by Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) – One of the best MBA institutes of the nation.
The colleges are as follows-

|Shaheed Sukhdev College Of Business Studies||
|College Of Vocational Studies||
|Maharaja Agrasen College||
|Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College||
|Bhim Rao Ambedkar College||
The entrance test contains 100 questions and attempts to evaluate applicant on comprehensive basis with four basic dimensions- Quantitative ability (up to class 10th), reasoning and analytical ability, general English and general awareness.
It is advisable to go through mock tests before actual examination to conduct self-evaluation and brush up one’s weak areas.

Apart from preparations, one needs to maintain his/her cool particularly during admission season as one wrong decision can cost you a lot in the long run.
Wishing all BMS aspirants good luck!
