The second day with ameliorated weather ensued students and all other staff to protract their work with swelled enthusiasm and optimism.
The day began with prize-distribution ceremony of 56th Flower Show which was presided over by Vice Chancellor- Mr. Dinesh Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor- Mr. Sudhish Pachauri, and Dean of Colleges-Ms. Alka Sharma along with some more people of great repute.
Padma Shri Dinesh Singh addressed the audience and expressed his concern for the gardeners and proposed authority responsible for sustainment of rare scenic beauty that colleges of Delhi University are renowned for and promised them to make Antardhvani more inclusive for them in coming future.
Miranda College bagged the first position followed by colleges like Lady Shri Ram College for women and Zakhir Hussain.
The program witnessed increased footfall over different stalls creating it more interactive and knowledge-inducing. Students from different colleges manifested their projects and highlighted their importance in present scenario by stressing the notion of Sustainable development.
The peculiar part was the survey which was being conducted all over the premises to collect views of students in regard to implementation of FYUP which will later assist University to design its future strategy. Students were required to fill a form to get his/her views recorded.
The competitive events continued in the same venue and at same time as on first day. The Innovation Plaza and “Folk dance” competition remained center of attention and proved to be a large crowd puller. Bhangra, Lavni and kalbelia took off event a notch higher.
With this, the second day journey of Antardhvani can be encapsulated as an interesting and joyful ride for those who love to explore the unexplored.
The third day i.e. the final day will be gripping one as it will feature a friendly cricket match between Principal’s XI and Vice-Chancellor’s XI along with valedictory programme.
